This Sidama G3 Natural lot represents the accessible yet distinctive character of Sidama’s highland naturals, carefully processed by Daye Bensa. The coffee is sourced from smallholder farmers across the Sidama Bensa area, where farms sit at elevations between 1,900 and 2,200 meters above sea level. The altitude and favourable climate allow for gradual cherry development, promoting sweetness, balance, and complexity.
After careful handpicking and sorting, ripe cherries undergo the natural drying process on raised African beds. The cherries are regularly turned to ensure even drying and prevent over-fermentation. Once fully dried, the coffee rests before hulling, sorting, and assessed, offering excellent value while maintaining cup integrity.
This natural lot offers a clean cup with smooth body, chocolate undertones, light fruitiness, and medium acidity, delivering an approachable and balanced Sidama profile that remains true to the region’s renowned reputation.
